Paul Simon Honored With Month Long Retrospective
The Brooklyn Academy of Music devotes the entire month of April to the storied career of Paul Simon with Love In The Hard Times: The Music of Paul Simon. The three part series presents three very different programs that explore various stages of Simon's musical journey: Songs From The Capeman, Under African Skies and American Tunes. Nat Geo Music was there at the opening weekend to review Songs From The Capeman.

Andy Palacio Memorial Tour
Belizean singer Andy Palacio's death this January shocked and saddened his fans around the world. What made his loss especially poignant was that he was poised to follow up on the success of last year's impressive Watina album with a major North American tour. Now that tour is rising from the ashes, with a cast of Garifuna musical heavyweights ready to celebrate Andy's life and continue his musical mission. Nat Geo Music was there and reviews this amazing, uplifting tour's opening night.

Feliciano Dos Santos Wins Goldman Prize
Mozambican musician and activist Feliciano Dos Santos is the winner of this year's prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize for his work in promoting clean water and sustainable sanitation practices in rural Africa. Stricken with polio as a boy, Dos Santos now works tirelessly - both through his music and his NGO, Estamos - to safeguard others from the same fate. Nat Geo Music caught up with Dos Santos on his recent visit to the United States.
